Here's A Great Hair Steamer, The Q Redew, Curly Hair Tool (2024)

I love product reviews and I love trying new products that may or may not have been on my radar. I was asked to give the Q-Redew, a hand held hair steamer, a try and I was super excited about the opportunity. At the very beginning of my natural hair journey I was set on getting a steamer but the desire left about as quickly as it came so this is a great time to see if this was a better choice than the steamer you sit under since that was the one I was thinking about getting.

Most of youalreadyknow I am the wash and go queen so getting 2nd or even 3rd dayhair seemedimpossiblebut I have been pretty OK with it. This was the perfectopportunity for me to see if I can achieve them and how easy it would be. I waspleasantrysurprised.

The hand-held hair steamer is really easy to use although it did look a tad big intimidating at first. I’m not a contraction kind of natural. No dryer, curling iron, flat iron, rollers…none of the above in my house so here I was giving this complicated steamer a try.

I have to admit…my heart was not into trying a hairappliance because I have noneanymore. When I got passed that silliness I gave it a try on hair with hardly any product in my hair. I only had leave-inconditionerfrom the day before (not even a lot). Big mistake for me since it really just frizzed up but I added some conditioner and gel and my hair came alive. I was liking the end result as you can see from the pic above.

The picture above was 2nd day hair but take a look at my 3rd day hair where you can really see just how impressed I became with this steamer. Now that we are in fall and winter is coming up quickly, this will be a big tool for me to use without re-wetting my hair in the shower.

My curls were less defined but the fullness was apparent and I had more of a curly fro which I love. There was no special treatment done to my hair either night other than placing a Loc Soc on my head and it wassmoochedto my head (as usual) sothe steamer had to bring my hair back to life.

The 3rd day hair was easier since I felt more comfortable with the hand-held hair steamer and the most difficult part was figuring out just how to use it. After watching the video below it made all the differencebecauseI saw just how the correct wayofusing it allowed for a better shape and anoverallevennessofmoisturebeingapplied to your hair.

Sections mean everything and it was warm and even a little too warm if you got too close to your scalp but the longer I worked with it the better I became using it and feeling more comfortable allowing it to hydrate my hair including the roots.

Q Redew Hand Held Hair Steamer*****

This hand held hair steamer gave me 3rd day hair and I am not a 3rd day hair kind of natural. I am almost certain I could get 4th day hair too because it really brings your curls, coils and waves back to life even ifsmoochedand that is a plus. The Q-Redew is easy to use, not awkward to operateandthe best part is you can use it anywhere as it is portable, small and uses very little water. It was quick to warm up and it even shuts off if left on for longer than 5 minutes and I can attest to needing that featurebecauseI am forgetful.

HOW TO GO NATURAL WITH HAIR EXTENSIONS

It is cheaper than most hooded hair steamers and the hand-held feature allows you to just use it where you need it. It lifts and hydrates dry hair and if you are iffy about going out with a wet head but want some fullness or moisture then this is the product for you. Tooconvenient, too easy not to have this in your hairarsenalandthis is coming from a very low-maintenance natural.

I have fallen in love with my Q-Redew and will bestretchingmy wash and gore-wettingsessions longer with this amazing hair tool.
